"Getting Licensed" is designed for British Columbia mortgage professionals who have begun the Mortgage Brokerage in British Columbia course or the course challenge process with the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business to become a licensed mortgage professional.
Who Should Attend
Any person who wishes to undertake a career in mortgage brokerage in British Columbia.
Purpose of the Program
This self-study program provides a proven effective process for preparing for the licensing examination.
This course is designed to be used in conjunction with the course text, package, practice test questions and assignments from the University of British Columbia. Participants who are challenging the exam will also benefit from the condensed notes and insights provided in this self study guide.
Program Objectives
Please refer to the Mortgage Brokerage in British Columbia Course information provided by UBC’s Sauder School of Business at www.sauder.ubc.ca in the Real Estate Division.
What's Included
Your course package includes:
A 2-hour initial consultation with a Kendrik Consultant.
A self-study schedule that provides all steps needed to complete the program in a timely manner (targeted for 6-weeks). The schedule indicates which assignments should be completed on which days, and the best order in which to follow the guide and textbook chapters.
Study notes of key concepts written to supplement the UBC Course textbook.
Approximately 200 flash-cards designed to assist you in memorizing the materials.
A full process and set of colour coded sheets designed to maximize your practice tests and study methods.
A mock final exam followed by a 1-hour consultation and review.
Free access to 3 online learning modules to get you started on the right foot : Taking a Mortgage Application, Reading Credit Reports, and Supporting Documentation. (These courses can be taken at any time within 3-months of your study guide purchase date. Over $200 value!)
Process
Upon registration your Study Guide materials will be shipped to you within 2-4 weeks. It is recommended that (if you have not already done so) you obtain the required materials, process information and important dates from the University of British Columbia during this time.
You will be contacted by a Kendrik Course Administrator to set up an initial 2-hour consultation with a specific course consultant who will walk you through all of the materials provided, best practices and who will be available to guide you as you work through your course package.
Once you are ready to set up your mock exam, you can contact your Consultant to schedule your review consultation.
Extra sessions with the Kendrik Consultant are available if required (a fee may apply).
Investment
The Self Study guide booklet, flash-cards, one-on-one consultations and support and access to the online learning modules are an investment of $850.
